A Reformed evangelist who is living or dead? Are you looking to have a guy come to your church or just wanting to look up their writings?

Fred

Good, I cannot recommend, but if you go to the Founder's site they probably have some listed.

What denomination then?

BTW many Independent Baptists belong to the Founder's as well, if that makes a difference.

Jim,

Believe me, I feel your pain and understand your quest to find some evangelists who hold to the doctrines of grace. I may get my head shot off by saying what I'm about to write, but on the whole and in my experience I have met very, very few missionaries who consistently believe and teach biblical Calvinism and the historic Gospel of Christ. I'm talking about missionaries who are being supported by churches who are confessionally reformed; e.g., they profess to adhere to the WCF, Belgic Confession, etc. The vast majority that I have talked to personally are very pragmatic; they use and teach whatever produces an increase in "converts" so that their funding will continue. They will give lip-service to the Confessions and the system of theology called Calvinism, if asked. But if one digs a bit deeper, the truth comes out. Roman Catholic missionaries are NOT the only ones guilty of "accommodation", i.e., allowing pagan practices and beliefs to be retained among alleged converts and allowing many objectionable contemporary worship practices in newly formed churches, etc.

However, in spite of my own personal experiences with many missionaries, I do believe (perhaps I am delusional) that there must be some evangelists today who are firm in keeping to the "old paths" and their commitment to the faith "once delivered unto the saints".
