The Subject of Liars

A preacher finished the service one morning by saying, “Next Sunday, I am going to preach on the subject of liars. As a preparation for my sermon, I would like you all to read Mark 17.”

On the following Sunday, the preacher rose to begin. Looking out at the congregation he said, “Last week I asked you all to read Mark 17. If you have read the chapter, please raise your hand.”

Nearly every hand in the congregation went up. Smiling, the preacher said, “You are the very people I want to talk to. Mark has only 16 chapters.”

Preaching on Mark 17 might be better than the last part in Mark 16.

Lying is a serious sin and many people even Christians sometimes do not take it seriously. I was also told a story that a woman who claimed to be a prophet shouted in the Church that Spirit is telling her that people read the book of Abraham majority who did know their Bible well started looking when they did not find it and told her that it is not there she shouted then read the book of Issac his son and again they started looking. May the Lord help us to be those who cherish God's word.
