If you know any of the reasoning behind why your church does any of these things, please let us know!

Our church administers the Lord's Supper 6 times per year; every other month. The reasoning for doing so is that it won't become 'mundane' or 'superficial' if done on a very regular basis, e.g., weekly or the 'mystery' of it lost if done less regularly, e.g., annually. There is room for the frequency, methinks because there isn't any specific regulations regarding the frequency in Scripture that I can find. So, there is room for variance. grin

As for the elements themselves, leavened vs unleavened and wine vs other (grape juice) I have my own personal preferences; wine and unleavened bread. But again, those are my own preferences but I cannot be overly dogmatic about this issue.

In His grace,

Frequency? I voted "other." We have the Lord's Supper bi-monthly.

Elements? The church uses leavened bread but because I am celiac (gluten intolerant) I have an unleavened corn tortilla.

We celebrate the Lord's Supper weekly. We use wine. In the poll I said that the bread we use is unleavened, but actually I'm not entirely sure. It's a special gluten-free recipe.

Much like Pilgrim although my preference is unleavened bread and wine, mainly because as I understand it, those are what the early Christians actually used. However, the Church I attend uses grape juice and leavened bread.
The reason why I don't insist on going to a Church that uses wine and unleavened bread is because it is one of the issues that I am not dogmatic about.

As for frequency, it is administered once a month.
To be honest, although I just thought about this, every Church I have been a member of administers the Lord's Supper once a month.
