I would like to print out the Guiness Article to read off line, but when I try to copy and paste it into my Microsoft Word window, all the background formatting comes with it (peach background color) Is there a way to get rid of the background formatting? The article is just too long for my "old eyes" to read online, especially with Pilgrim's warning that my brain may explode from the content! gotribe,

In your Browsers "Options" (not knowing which one you are using nor what version so I can't give specifics) you might be able to specify to NOT print backgrounds, images, etc. I have IE 6.0 and that option is located in "Tools/Internet Options/Advanced" and under the "Printing" heading. See the screenshot attached. The other option, if you can't disable the printing of backgrounds and images, is: Click on "File/Save as" and in the "Save as type" filed, choose "Text File (.txt)". Then you can print that. It ain't pretty, but it might suit your needs. There might be someone out there who has other work arounds too and perhaps they will share their methods of dealing with this.

In His Grace,

I looked in the printing heading and that option is already unchecked. The weird thing is that I always print out articles before I read them and I have never had the background colors print before. Letter colors and fonts and font size, yes, but not the background.

I'll keep trying to see what I can do. . .I really want to read that article.

OK, I am printing. I went into the print options and clicked grayscale and it is printing out without color. (Now I just have to remember to go back in and change it back to color. . .)

Where there is a will, there is a way!

[color:blue]"Where there is a will, there is a way!" Good for you! [Linked Image]

Sometimes those "options" get stuck, hehe. What you can try is to enable (check) that option, close your browser and/or reboot, return and disable (uncheck) it and the function it is supposed to do will begin working. Ah..... computers!! Ain't they fun though? [Linked Image]
