Thanks for the interesting article and it does hold some truth to it.

I disagree with the notion that voters vote for self esteem and not on perceived issues. Sure, both Clinton and Bush had/have let their core constituency down with their support and passage of certain policies. However, I think the core contituency rationale is that they are disappointed with some actions by their man(woman), but the other side would be far worse. For instance, Bush has increased the level of government which I totally disagree, but I see that the Dems will increased it much more, plus their advocacy for liberal judges and political rheteric will put a death nail on all biblical based social issues. When the Dems leadership publical states that biblical Christians are unfit for public judgeship and other positions without any backlash within the party makes it a pretty easy voting choice for me.
