1. I would recommend David Engelsma's A Defense of (Reformed) Amillenialism re: Matthew 24. Good reading from the Amillennialism petspective. 2. More on eschatology on The Highway here Calvinism and the Reformed Faith: Escatology. Articles on various views; pros and cons. 3. I do not believe in dual fulfillment of prophecy. I believe a passage has one meaning and only one meaning.  I have to disagree with that statement IF I take the statement at face value. Nearly all prophesy entails a historical application AND a future fulfillment with both contemporary (at the time of the writing) historic event(s) and historic events when understood spiritually, e.g., the first coming of Christ, et al.
