If we should by our insistence on the exercise of Christian liberties, give cause for a weaker brother to fall, let us say by our right and freedom to consume wine and a weaker brother who has a problem with alcohol to become drunk or to have his life destroyed by alcohol. Is this what the Lord has in mind? Would it not be far better to humbly consider others needs before our own and not consume alcohol at all rather than cause someone to stumble?
