McKeon said the legislation was needed because the rights of many people were not protected under local ordinances. He said Illinois' Restoration of Religious Freedom Act permits religious institutions to show preference to members of their faith. The law exempts small businesses with fewer than 15 people.
LaBarbera said the religious exemption -- which covers churches -- and an exemption for owner-occupied buildings of five apartments or less -- is "so big you could drive a semi through it."
Unless janean has a copy of the complete Bill and in addition she has some clairvoyant ability to know how Judges will render decisions in regard to cases which might come before them regarding the application of this Bill, I doubt she will be able to answer your question.
